SKYBAUS

Born in the infamous ‘Pleasant Grove’, a community in southeast Dallas, Skybaus is a death metal band with a unique and crushing sound.

In spring of 2021, two childhood friends (Brandon/Cody) joined up with Richard and started the first iteration of Skybaus; a three-piece, instrumental project with a prog/death vibe. It didn’t take long before they started to entertain the idea of bringing in a vocalist.

Just after tracking and releasing the song “Plague of War” (feat. Stephen Oliver), the band decided to open up the position and in came Stryker. The band played their “first” show on October 31, 2021. It was a partial instrumental set that featured just two songs with the new vocalist.

With this new four-piece onslaught, Skybaus began to get attention from the local death scene and after just a few months, they were fortunate enough to play with a Facedown Records AND a Solid State Records band (Meadows/The Undertaking).

With an EP, a music video, and more new material on the way, this band looks forward with confidence and has a bright future.

“Blue-collar motherfuckers who don’t play games” is not only a lyric in the song ‘Grovestyle Groove’ – it’s their motto. A group of individuals with common goals: to write the heaviest music possible and call out the injustices in a world and scene that is divided, bringing a sense of community and family to everyone around them.

Be on the lookout for new music and a few other announcements in July 2022!

AWAKEN TO REMEMBER

Awaken To Remember was formed in 2014 in Dallas, Texas when Brian Locks and Wild Bill disbanded Devils Alike and wanted to play live music. Over the next year they added Chris Williams, Leo Reyna and Burt Usury to complete the lineup.

On December 11th, 2015, Awaken To Remember dropped their first single This Ain't Hell. The following year they dropped their first album Alethephobia on September 19th, 2016. Alethephobia was a success with multiple songs from the album receiving radio play on 97.1 The Eagle.

The next single for Awaken To Remember was No Luck Yet, which was released on April 2nd, 2018. This was their next popular song after their hit single This Ain't Hell.

In the summer of 2019, Chris Williams left Awaken To Remember to raise his family. Richard Schmidt was asked to join the band in August of 2019 and eventually joined in December of 2019.

The lock down from the pandemic started around March 2020, stopping all live music. Burt Usury decided to leave the band to pursue other musical interest. Awaken To Remember recruited Kevin "Ozzy" Gregory to fill in on the drums and the rest is history.

Awaken To Remember decided to work on new music during the pandemic to showcase the talents of the new members. On April 7th 2022, Awaken To Remember released an EP, Release The Kraken, on streaming services. Awaken To Remember actively gigs around the Dallas/Fort Worth metroplex today.
